The SJ-200 has a presence before a note is played. This left-handed 2023 Western Classic combines the huge outline, ornate details, and strong projection of Gibson’s “King of the Flat-Tops” with a practical upgrade that made it ready for amplified use.

The Story
Section titled “The Story”This guitar began as a used, non-electrified instrument. Before delivery, TFOA installed an LR Baggs HiFi Duet and performed a professional PLEK service. That installation is part of this guitar’s story, not an original Gibson factory feature.
The dealer described it as powerful and open, with clarity, shimmering highs, and enough dynamic range for strumming, flatpicking, or accompanying a voice. Its listing noted light play wear where the arm rests on the top, while the rest of the instrument remained very clean.

Installed Electronics
Section titled “Installed Electronics”The HiFi Duet combines bridge-plate sensors with a microphone and onboard blending controls. It was selected as a minimally invasive way to add an amplified voice without pretending the guitar left Bozeman with factory electronics.
